    CSS + CFM issue

I have searched endlessly, and I can't find 1 article on this. I am having trouble applying my CSS styles to a CFM document.

I started removing bits of code from the CFM file to see what exactly was causing the unexpected formatting.

Eventually, I found that simply re-saving ANY html file as a cfm file messes up the formatting (spacing, fonts, etc.).

Does anyone know why simply giving a file a cfm extension would display my CSS incorrectly?

This only happens in IE, not Firefox...

Would really appreciate any thoughts. Thanks in advance,
    ~Bobio

Both. When I open locally or online, it displays incorrectly in IE. I still haven't found a solution. Not even anything to try...
